Penetrating the Marketplace

Saturday church service talk about Marketplace Evangelism. It means that the gospel and holy spirit should not just be resticted in the four walls of church, but need also invade the society. God will use us to bring salvation to the whole world. Pastor Kong has illustrate to us countries with a big percentage of Christians yet those countries are poor, the reason being those Christians there havent done much to impact the marketplace. Singapore economy is fairly well, but I believe that we could make a big difference out there for Singapore to have outstanding achievement.

Jesus has disciples who have profession in different trades. We too are equipped with different talents and it is up to us to use those talents to make a real impact in the marketplace. As Christians, we are truly blessed and have the holy spirit within us and we should be the one making the difference in the society. For the church to grow and experience a breakthrough, it is neccessary for us to place more emphasis on impacting the marketplace. Only this can the society see the influence that we Christians have made. We are supposed to be an asset, not liablity and it is up to us to prove our worth.

After the service, our cell group decided to go the a hawker centre that is at Bedok. There are quite little varities of food there as many of the food stalls are closed already. I have actually intend to buy the fishball noodles but give up my intentions after seeing the long queue. So I buy the Chao Guo Tiao. Christopher buy the fishball noodles after much queuing but it doesnt smell as nice as the queue suggested. We get to share a plate of chicken satays which I has to say is absolutely fantastic, won't be long before I come back here and try it again.

Christopher really has a big appetite, eats fishball noodle (big bowl), two cups of drinks and satays. His illness recovered already so it is normal for him to get back and enjoy his favourite food. You can see from the photo that he is in jubilent mood. Glad to see a fit-again Christopher. Going to plan a next buffet. Ha, but need to save the money. Well, hopefully we will be back at this place in a short period.
